Men's Bowling finishes fifth of 20 at Ohio Bowling Conference II tournament

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Northern men's bowling team finished fifth of 20 teams at the Ohio Bowling Conference #2 tournament on Saturday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern was fifth of 20 teams with 5,469 pins for three regular games and 12 baker games.
- Venue: Columbus Square Bowling Palace - Columbus, Ohio.
- Muskingum won the team title with 5727 pins, Ohio State was second with 5684 pins, Thomas More (Ky.) was third with 5635 pins and Robert Morris (Pa.) was fourth with 5498 pins.
ONU Individuals
- Freshman Tanner Iles (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) led the Polar Bears with an eighth place finish, knocking down 668 pins in three games.
- Iles rolled a 234 and a 245 game on the day.
- Sophomore Giovanni Scanio (Corpus Christi, Tex./London) was 20th with a 626 with a high game of 212.
- Freshman Alex Grant (Mansfield) rolled a 606 with a high score of 226 to finish 27th.

- The Polar Bears were fifth in the team standings after three games with a school-record 3,083 pins, averaging 205.5 ppg.
- ONU then had 2,386 pins in its 12 baker games, an average of 198.8 per game.
- Iles' 668 is a career-best and is the second-highest total in school history.
- Sciano's 626 series is the fourth-best in ONU history and is also a career-best.
- Grant's career-best 606 series is the fifth-best in school history.
