Men's Bowling has another record-setting day at Wright State Raider Classic

BEAVERCREEK — The Ohio Northern men's bowling team had yet another record-breaking outing, posting a ninth place finish at the Wright State Raider Classic on Saturday and Sunday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern was ninth of 21 teams with 7,184 pins for four regular games and 16 baker games.
- Venue: Beaver Vu Lanes - Beavercreek, Ohio.
- Vincennes won the team title with 7801 pins, Ohio State was second with 7606 pins and Northwestern Ohio was third with 7530 pins.
ONU Individuals
- Sophomore Zander Crouch (DeGraff/Riverside) broke the school's 4-game record by four pins with a 902 series, which included a high game of 269, to finish eighth overall.
- Sophomore Sam King (DeGraff/Riverside) was 22nd with an 844.
- Sophomore Giovanni Scanio (Corpus Christi, Tex./London) was 23rd with an 843 with a high game of 265.
- Freshman Tanner Iles (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) was 67th with a 777.
Notables
- The Polar Bears were fourth in the team standings after four games with a school-record 4,166 pins, averaging 208.3 ppg.
- ONU then had 3,018 pins in its 16 baker games, an average of 188.6 per game.
- Crouch's 902 game broke the previous record of 898 set by King a year ago.
- His 269 is the second-best in ONU history.
- King's 844 series is the fifth-best in school history. He now has three of the top eight 4-game series in school history.
- Sciano's 843 series is the sixth-best in ONU history. His 265 game is the fourth-best in ONU history.
- Third-year head coach Jeff Robinson leads the Polar Bears.
