Crouch breaks school record as Men's Bowling opens season with 28th place finish at 51-team Midwest Collegiate Championships

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Ohio Northern men's bowling team opened its 2025-26 season with a record-breaking 28th place finish at ther 51-team Midwest Collegiate Championships Saturday and Sunday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern was 27th of 51 teams with 7,727 pins for five regular games and 16 baker games.
- Venue: Imperial Lanes - Clinton Township, Mich.
- The tournament consisted of 5 games on Saturday, then 16 baker games on Sunday.
- The top eight finishers advanced to match play series for the title.

- Sophomore Zander Crouch (DeGraff/Riverside) led the Polar Bears by finishing 32nd overall with a school record 5-game score of 1,034 - an average of 206.8 pins per game.
- He had two games in the 200s, including a 261 in the fifth game.
- Freshman Tanner Iles (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) was 81st with a 968 - an average of 193.6 pins per game.
- Sophomore Giovanni Scanio (Corpus Christi, Tex./London) was 108th with 923 pins.

- The Polar Bears were 26th in the team standings with a school record 4,724 pins for five games on Saturday, averaging 188.96 pins per game.
