Men's Bowling finishes 8th of 17 at Ohio Bowling Conference meet III

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Northern men's bowling team finished eighth of 17 teams at the Ohio Bowling Conference III tournament on Saturday.

The Basics

• Ohio Northern finished eighth of 17 teams with 5,286 pins.
• Venue: Palace Lanes - Columbus, Ohio.

ONU Individuals

• Freshman Andrew Knight (West Liberty/Riverside) led the Polar Bears with a 4-game series of 788, good for an average of 197.0 and a 28th place finish.
• Sophomore Lukas Dunbar (Orient/Teays Valley) knocked down 764 pins in four games for a 191.0 average and a 30th place finish.
• Freshman Jake Manbevers (Greenfield/Miami Trace) rolled a 598 for 3 games for a 199.7 average. 
• Freshman Sam King (DeGraff/Riverside) had a 560 (186.7 ppg) for 3 games.

Notables

• The Polar Bears were seventh after the 4 team games with 3844 pins, an average of 192.2 per game.
• Northern then rolled a 1,442 (180.3 ave) for 8 baker games.
• Northwestern Ohio won the team title with 6007 pins, Ohio State was second with 5900 pins and Muskingum was third with 5785 pins.
• This was the seventh of 10 events for Ohio Northern in its second season.
• Second-year head coach Jeff Robinson leads the Polar Bears.
