Miller, Maag, Harris combine for 57 points in Men's Basketball's 78-70 victory at Wilmington

WILMINGTON— The Ohio Northern men's basketball team clinched its third consecutive winning season and a spot in the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament with a 78-70 victory at Wilmington on Wednesday evening.
- Records: Ohio Northern (14-7 Overall, 9-3 OAC), Wilmington (8-12 Overall, 4-7 OAC).

The Game
- Senior Will Miller (Ottoville) lead the way with 20 points, including the last 8 points for the Polar Bears.
- Junior Theo Maag (Ottowa/Ottowa-Glandorf) contributed 19 points and also grabbed a team best 7 boards.
- Sophomore Aiden Harris (Pandora Gilboa) added 15 points and 5 rebounds.
- Dominic Farley led the Quakers with 22 points.
- A Maag jumper pushed the Polar Bear lead to 70-67 with 3:12 left to play.
- Miller then knocked down a jumpshot to make it 72-67 with 2:11 remaining.
- The Quakers used a 9-0 run to tie the game at 65-65 at the 5:10 mark.
- The Polar Bears answered went on a 13-2 run to retake a 63-54 lead with 8:35 to go.
- ONU led 40-37 at the half
- Northern opened the game on a 10-2 run.
- Ohio Northern was 25-of-58 from the floor for 43.1 percent and made 9-of-19 three-pointers for 47.4 percent, while Wilmingto finished 24-of-58 from the field for 41.4 percent and 5-of-19 from three-point range for 26.3 percent.
- ONU made 19-of-26 free throws for 73.1 percent and WC was 17-of-24 from the foul line for 70.8 percent.
- The Polar Bears outrebounded the Quakers 34-27.

- Ohio Northern now trail in the all-time series with Wilmington 48-34.
- Miller is now tied for 23rd all-time in Northern with 1205 points in 95 career games. Miller is also ranked 6th in the conference in ppg with 15.8.
- Miller is now in the 10th in ONU history with 154 steals.
- With the victory, the Polar Bears remain one game out of first place in the OAC with an 9-3 league record, trailing only Mount Union (10-2) and Otterbein (9-2).
- Ohio Northern clinched its third consecutive winning season with its 14-7 record.
