WILMINGTON — The Ohio Northern men's basketball team raced to a 22-7 lead and cruised to an impressive 82-52 victory at Wilmington on Wednesday evening.

The Basics

  • Junior Will Miller (Ottoville) scored 19 points to lead the Polar Bears.
  • Senior Blake Michael (Fremont/St. Joseph Central Catholic) and junior Bryce Stuart (Lucasville/Valley) added 10 points each.
  • Rashid Chisholm led the Quakers with 16 points.
  • A 3-pointer from sophomore Noah Langford (Perrysburg/Toledo Central Catholic) capped a 22-5 run and gave the visitors a 22-7 lead just 8:05 into the contest.
  • Northern led 41-23 at halftime.
  • A 3-pointer from Michael gave the Polar Bears their biggest lead of the night at 73-42 with 6:27 remaining.
  • Ohio Northern was 29-of-57 from the floor for 50.9 percent and made 15-of-31 three-pointers for 48.4 percent, while Wilmington finished 20-of-37 from the field for 54.1 percent and 1-of-8 from three-point range for 12.5 percent.
  • ONU made 9-of-14 free throws for 64.3 percent and WC was 11-of-25 from the foul line for 44.0 percent.
  • The Polar Bears out-rebounded the Quakers 29-21.
