Justin Bergman not returning as head Baseball coach at Ohio Northern after 2011 campaign

ADA — Ohio Northern has announced that Justin Bergman will not return as head coach of the University's baseball program after the completion of the 2011 campaign.
The search for a new head coach will begin immediately.

"We would like to thank Coach Bergman for his efforts and hard work with the ONU baseball program and the University," Ohio Northern director of athletics Tom Simmons said. "We feel it is the right time to take the program in a new direction. We wish Coach Bergman well in his future endeavors."

In six years as head coach, Bergman has guided the Polar Bears to a 99-130 record.

This year, ONU is 19-17 overall and 4-12 in the Ohio Athletic Conference and will wrap up its 2011 season on Sunday with a double header against John Carroll at 1 pm at Wander Field.
