Junior Hannah Irmer named OAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

ADA — Junior Hannah Irmer (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the week of March 16-22.

She had 76 digs, six aces and 15 assists in four road matches last week.

Irmer had a career-high 29 digs in a 5-set victory over Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday after posting 14 digs in the opening match that night.

She then had 17 and 16 digs in two losses at No. 25 Muskingum on Friday night.

The No. 22-ranked Polar Bears will return to action Tuesday with a 6 pm double header at home with Wilmington.
