Baseball to open 2024 season March 2-3 with 3-game set at Asbury (Ky.)

ADA — The Ohio Northern baseball team will open its 2024 season March 2-3 with a three-game series at Asbury (Ky.) under 13th-year head coach Gene Stechschulte.
The annual spring break trip to Florida will follow the week of March 9-17.
ONU will host Denison on March 21 before beginning Ohio Athletic Conference play on March 23 at home with Baldwin Wallace.
Northern also has non-conference home games scheduled with Trine (Ind.) and Defiance with road trips to Albion (Mich.), Bluffton, Ohio Wesleyan, Wittenberg, Oberlin and Defiance on the non-league schedule.
The Polar Bears' remaining OAC doubleheaders include home matchups with Muskingum (April 6), Otterbein (April 17), Capital (April 20) and Heidelberg (May 4) and road dates at Marietta (March 29), Wilmington (April 10), John Carroll (April 13) and Mount Union (April 27).
The OAC Tournament is slated for May 9-11 at the home of the regular-season champion.
Northern posted a 27-15 overall record, finished third in the OAC with a 12-6 mark and placed third at the OAC Tournament in 2023.
