Beth Hemminger is the first-ever head coach of the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse program.
Hemminger is in her fourth season and guided the Polar Bears to a 16-32 record in their first three seasons.
At ONU, she has coached four All-Conference players, had five Academic All-OAC honorees and the 2016 Rookie of the Year.
Hemminger was the head coach at Wittenberg for three seasons before becoming Northern's coach, and guided her teams to a 38-12 record and a perfect 22-0 league record during that time.
She also served as head coach at St. Anne's Day School in Annapolis, Md., in 2010.
Hemminger has assistant coaching experience at New Haven (Conn.) from 2005-09 and again in 2011, and at her alma mater Wooster in 2004.
She was a 2004 graduate of Wooster, earning four varsity letters in soccer and lacrosse.
In lacrosse, she was a three-time All-American and was named the 2003 North Coach Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
She re-wrote the record books at Wooster, scoring 300 points career points and a school record 85 in her senior year.
In soccer, she earned All-NCAC honors four straight years and third-team All-Great Lakes Region honors in 2000 as a starting forward.
She received her bachelor's degree in studio arts from Wooster in 2004.

Lisa Barnard is in her third season as an assistant coach for the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team.
Barnard received her Bachelor's Degree in Forensic Science in 2011 from the University of New Haven (Conn.) where she was a four year letterwinner on the women's lacrosse team.
She also received her Master's of Education at Central Connecticut State University in 2016.
Barnard comes to Ohio Northern after serving as the Strength and Conditioning intern for Prentiss Hockey Performance and Quinnipiac University in 2016.
She has certifications in USA Weightlifting and CPR/AED, and is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
From 2011-2012, Barnard also served as the Assistant Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse Coach at Wittenberg University.
