Beth Hemminger enters her fifth season at the helm of the women's lacrosse program at Ohio Northern after becoming named the first head coach in school history in May 2014.

Through her first four seasons, Hemminger has led the Polar Bears to a 23-41 overall record and a 10-21 mark in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

At Ohio Northern, she has coached eight All-OAC selections, 10 Academic All-OAC honorees, and the 2016 Rookie of the Year.

During the 2019 campaign, the Polar Bears tied the program record for overall wins and conference wins in a single season with a 7-9 overall record and a 3-5 league mark. In addition, ONU broke program records for goals (183), assists (51), points (234), draw controls (165), saves (198), goals against average (11.31), and fewest goals allowed in a single season.

Before arriving at Ohio Northern, Hemminger was the head coach at Wittenberg for three seasons. She guided her teams to a 38-12 overall record and a perfect 22-0 league record during the span.

Hemminger also has assistant coaching experience from stints with New Haven (Conn.) from 2005-09 and 2011 and Wooster, her alma mater, in 2004.

In addition, she served as the head coach for St. Anne's Day School in Annapolis, Md., during the 2010 season.

Hemminger is a 2004 graduate of Wooster with a bachelor's degree in studio arts. During her time at Wooster, she earned four varsity letters in both lacrosse and soccer.

In lacrosse, she was a three-time All-American and was named the 2003 North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year. She also re-wrote the program record books at Wooster after scoring 300 career points, including a school-record 85 during her senior season.

In soccer, she earned All-NCAC honors in four consecutive seasons and garnered Third-Team All-Great Lakes Region honors in 2000 as a starting forward.
