Women's Basketball to open 2012-13 campaign Nov. 16-17 at Washington (Mo.) Classic

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's basketball team will open its 2012-13 season under 12th-year head coach Michele Durand Nov. 16-17 at the Washington (Mo.) Classic.
The Polar Bears will open the home portion of their schedule on Nov. 20 against Kenyon in the first game of a men's/women's doubleheader at the ONU Sports Center.
Northern will also travel to the St. Mary's (Ind.) Thanksgiving Tournament Nov. 24-25 and will have road games at Denison on Dec. 16 and at Adrian (Mich.) on Dec. 29 to round out the non-league schedule.
Ohio Athletic Conference action tips off Dec. 1 with a home contest with Marietta.
The annual OAC Tournament is slated for Feb. 18-23 at campus sites.
The Polar Bears posted a 21-6 overall record, finished second in the OAC with a 14-4 mark and reached the finals of the OAC Tournament in 2011-12.
