Ohio Northern Cross Country teams to open 2012 seasons Sept. 1 with ONU Invitational on campus

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's cross country teams will start their 2012 seasons Sept. 1 with the ONU Invitational on the Ohio Northern campus course.
    
Under 4th-year head coach Jason Maus, the Polar Bears will travel out of state to compete at the Calvin (Mich.) Select Meet on Sept. 8, the Williams (Mass.) Classic on Sept. 22, and the Wis.-Oshkosh Invitational on Oct. 13.

ONU will also compete at the annual All-Ohio Championships at Cedarville on Sept. 28.

The Polar Bears will begin the defense of their OAC Championships titles on Oct. 27, at the 2012 OAC Championships at Wilmington.

The NCAA Division III Regionals are slated for Nov. 10 at Anderson (Ind.) and the 2012 NCAA III Championships will be Nov. 17 at Rose-Hulman (Ind.)

In 2011, Ohio Northern men's cross country team posted a 103-33 record and won the OAC title and the women's squad finished 133-28 and also won the OAC crown.
