The meet is slated for a 12 p.m. start ... Running events will be held inside Clements Recreation Center while throwing competitions will be held in OU's Rike Center ... Meanwhile, senior All-American Ian McVey will be running at the GVSU Big Meet at Grand Valley State (Mich.) this weekend ... He will compete in the 3,000-meter run at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Friday, February 8 ... Ohio Northern enters the event sporting a 5-1 overall record and ranks ninth in the Great Lakes Region ... Last weekend, the Polar Bears secured three event titles and 154 points to claim team runner-up honors at the 2019 Joe Banks Invitational ... McVey captured the one-mile run title in a career-best 4:15.13, which established a new meet record ... His time currently ranks 14th on the NCAA Division III performance list ... For his efforts, the Stow product was tabbed OAC Track Athlete of the Week for the second time in his career ... Sophomore Sam Krabacher led a first-through-fourth finish for the Polar Bears in the 1,000-meter run, claiming his third individual event title this season in 2:42.45 ... Freshman Patrick Baker, junior Kyle Neff, and freshman Alan Dravenstott crossed the tape in second-, third-, and fourth-place, respectively ... In the field, freshman pole vault specialist Luke Shellhaas captured the remaining event title, clearing the bar at 4.45 meters (14' 7.25") for a new career-best effort ... Last season, the Polar Bears scored 25 points to finish ninth in an 18-team field at the All-Ohio Championships.
