First serve is slated for 2 p.m. at the John W. Heisman Field House in Oberlin ... ONU will enter the nonconference affair owning a 1-1 overall record ... In their last outing, the Polar Bears defeated in-state foe Wittenberg 6-3 at the Westwood Tennis & Fitness Center in Lima ... Freshman Noah Elliott was named the OAC Player of the Week after going 2-0 against the Tigers last Saturday ... He would claim a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 3 singles and join sophomore Hoang Do for an 8-3 triumph at No. 2 doubles ... Freshman Zach Beaschler, Do, and junior Connor Christian also picked up singles victories in the match ... Christian and freshman Nate Meadors rounded out the wins with a tight-knit 8-7 (7-3) victory at No. 3 doubles ... Thus far, Christian leads the program with a 7-3 overall record in the 2018-19 campaign ... He also tops the team with an undefeated 3-0 mark in doubles action ... Five individuals have won four matches in singles play to lead the team, including sophomore Vinh Thai, freshman Andrew Cochran, Beaschler, Christian, and Elliott ... Oberlin enters the matchup sporting a 0-5 overall record, but only one loss has come against an NCAA Division III opponent, No. 10-ranked Carnegie Mellon ... Last Sunday, OC dropped a pair of 7-0 decisions to NCAA Division I foes St. Bonaventure and Cleveland State ... The Yeomen are currently ranked 34th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association national polls ... Four individual have won three matches in singles play to lead the team while junior Stephen Gruppuso and sophomore Elliott Nuss have won four matches in doubles play to top the program.
