OAC Championships Meet: Ohio Northern is looking for its 13th OAC Championships title in program history Thursday-Saturday at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium ... ONU won 12 consecutive crowns from 2005-16 ... The championships consists of 13 swimming events, two diving events and five relays over a 3-day span ... Prelims will begin at 10 am each day, with the finals at 6:30, 6 and 5:30 pm Thursday-Saturday, respectively ... The top three individuals and the top two relay teams in each event will earn All-OAC honors ... Each swimmer is allowed to compete in three individual races and up to four relays ... ONU finished second in the OAC Regular Season standings with a 3-1 league record, defeating Mount Union, Baldwin Wallace and Wilmington and falling to John Carroll ... The Polar Bears also clinched their 12th consecutive winning dual meet season ... Junior Nolan Huey is the reigning OAC Men's Swimmer of the Year after winning the 200 I.M. in 1:51.10, the 400 I.M. in 3:59.65 and the 200 back in 1:49.63, setting OAC records in all three events ... Huey has won 6 OAC titles in his first two seasons at ONU ... Senior Pete He is the defending OAC champion in the 100 fly (:50.27) and the 200 fly (1:54.54) and is a 10-time champion in his career ... The Polar Bears are also the defending champions in the 200 and 400 free relays and the 200 medley relay ... Seniors Justin Chapman and Anthony Ferrell are also returning OAC champions and sophomore Ryan Mow is a returning All-Conference honoree.
