This weekend's matches: Ohio Northern will host the annual ONU Invitational on Fri.-Sat. Sept. 8-9 ... The Polar Bears will host Ohio Athletic Conference-foe Wilmington, Thomas More (Ky.) and Kalamazoo (Mich.) in the tournament ... After Thomas More (Ky.) and Wilmington open the tournament with a match at 1 pm on Friday, Northern will take on the Kalamazoo (Mich.) Hornets at 3 pm ... Northern enters the tournament after defeating Wittenberg 2-1 in its home opener at Kerscher Stadium on Wednesday evening ... The Polar Bears were led by junior Joseph Schulte and senior Colin Johnson as each scored a goal to lead ONU offensively ... Senior Grant Cayot assisted on both goals ...
