HUDSON —The Ohio Northern men's golf team concluded its regular season schedule with a sixth place finish at the OAC Spring Championships on Saturday at the Hudson Country Club.
Freshman Nolan Kimberly (Zanesville) led the Polar Bears (18-40-1 overall) by tying for 14th place out of 58 golfers with a 7-over par 79 on the 6725-yard course.
Senior Joshua Turich (Centerville) tied for 24th with an 80, senior Nick Anderson (Mason) and freshman Jared Hernandez (Van Wert) tied for 33rd with 81s and senior Ryan Tatman (West Chester/Lakota East) was 55th with an 89.
Ohio Northern was sixth out of nine teams with 321 strokes.
John Carroll won the team title with a 309, Otterbein was second with a 310 and Heidelberg was third with a 312.
Kurt Fortman of Otterbein and Derek Smith of John Carroll shared Medalist honors with 3-over par 75s.
The Polar Bears will return to action Friday-Sunday with the OAC Championships tournament at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette, Ohio.
