Men's Golf in sixth place after Day 2 of 2011 OAC Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE — Senior Tom Repicky followed an even par 71 in round one Friday with a 6-over par 77 in round two Saturday to lead Ohio Northern at the three-day Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championships at River Greens Golf Course.

Repicky sits in a four-way tie for seventh place after 36 holes of the 54-hole Championship.

As a team, Northern sits in sixth place with a 301-306—607, but is just 21 shots off the lead and is just nine shots put of second place.

Mount Union is in first with a 290-296—586, Otterbein is second with a 303-295—598, Baldwin-Wallace and Muskingum are tied for third with identical 299-301—600s and John Carroll is fifth with a 299-302—601.

MtU's Scott Miller leads the individual standings with a 4-under par 67-71—138 on the 6,447-yard course.

Sophomore Travis Ballinger is tied for 22nd out of 44 golfers with a 77-76—153, senior Phil Makowski is 27th with a 74-81—155, freshman Colin Burns is tied for 28th with a 7-77—1569 and freshman Ryan Wirtz is tied for 34th with an 82-76—158.

The top 18 golfers at the end of 54 holes earn All-Conference honors.

The third and final round is slated to begin Sunday at 10 am.
