Belliveau named OAC Hitter of the Week for Baseball

ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Dan Belliveau was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week for Baseball for the week of March 19-25.

Belliveau hit .455 in three games, going 5-for-11 with two runs scored and nine RBIs as the Polar Bears went 2-2 this past week.

He also knocked out two home runs last week and leads the team with three total homers for the season. Belliveau is second on the team in batting average (.364) and RBIs (14), and leads the team in slugging percentage (.618).

The Polar Bears travel to No. 2 Marietta on Saturday to open up its 2012 conference schedule. Game 1 of the doubleheader is slated for a 1 p.m. start.
