What is your major and what are your plans after graduation?

I'm a technology major and after I graduate I want to either go to grad school or get into industrial or graphic design.

What made you decide on Ohio Northern?

I wanted to go to a small school that had a soccer program. Soccer was a big reason that I decided to come here.

Describe the feeling of being Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champions a season ago.

It was great. It makes all the of the hard work we've put in worth it, especially in the off-season. It's also nice to know that we were the first ONU team to ever accomplish that.

What will have to happen in order for you guys to repeat this season?

It will take the same hard work, committment and team work as last year. I really believe that we have the skills, so it will be about whether or not we can put it together and get it done.

What is your biggest asset to the team?

Being a leader and team captain I help the team. I also think I have the ability to get to the outside and play balls back into the middle to create opportunities for other players to score.

Talk about head coach Brent Ridenour's coaching philosophy.

He is one of the hardest working coaches that I have ever played for. He is super-competitive and that helps the team be pushed to another level. We see how much he wants to win and it really pushes us to not want to fail.

What has been the most valuable thing you have learned in the last four years being part of the soccer program?

I think it has been the amount you can accomplish as a team. If you are willing to put your personal goals aside it's amazing what you can do as a team. I think we really showed that last year.

Getting the opportunity to play in Europe this summer, would you say there is a noticeable difference between the two styles of play?

Generally, players are much more skilled and technically sound over there because they've played so much more throughout their lives. The way their system is set up, they play so many more games than us. As far as being physical and the size, we matched up pretty well against some semi-pro teams over there.

What is the best piece of advice you would give an incoming freshman or someone new to the program?

Totally commit to it if it is something you want to do. Don't just come and play because you have friends on the team or any reason like that. Do it if you want to work 100% to make yourself better and the team better.

What are some things that you like to do in your spare time?

I like to watch a lot of movies and listen to music. I also like to play golf and go snowboarding.
