What is your major and what are your plans after college?

I am a Management and marketing major. I have a job with Syntox, and I will be working as a sales rep, in their Morgantown, West Virginia division.

How did you end up at Northern?

Coach Hairston sent me a letter, and I had never heard of it so I applied on line. I came up to visit and I fell in love with it and realized I could golf here.

You recently won your fifth tournament of this season, how did that feel?

It felt good. It would have been nice if I played better, it was cool though. It’s nice to be the best. I mean you always have work to do because there are people behind you.

As a senior, what responsibilities do you feel you owe the team?

Try and be a leader and set an example and be a role model set standards for the girls to adhere to. On the course, set scores they can aim to break and try and improve the team because when you have someone that’s a really good golfer that gives everyone else something to aim to. If they can aim to do that good it makes your team that much better.

What is your favorite golf memory?

Going to Nationals last year, it was awesome. I can’t even describe it. It’s like being in a golf bubble for six days. All you do is golf; all you think about is golf. It’s just a great experience.

How did you get started with golf?

I didn’t start golfing until my sophomore year of high school. I played soccer and softball my whole life and I got kind of burnt out. My dad said, “Why not try out golf?” and I said “Ok, why not.”

How did it feel to be nominated OAC golfer of the week?

It’s cool because that’s the whole conference and people thinking you deserve to be the best that week. It’s a cool feeling.

What are your greatest strengths on the course?

I am very accurate off the tee, and I am usually a pretty good ball striker.

What have you improved most about your game since you have been playing at Northern?

My mental game has improved so much and that’s because of my coach. He just has helped me become so mentally tough and now the little things won’t bother me.

What will you miss most about golfing at ONU?

I will miss the girls because I like them a lot and they are like my family because you spend so much time together, and I will miss coach because he is like my dad here. He helps give you some structure.

What tournament do you look forward to most?

The OAC Championships, because if you win it, you are the best in the conference and you get to go to Nationals. I think you need to play your best. Plus this year, the tournament is at our home course.

Do you think it (OAC Championships) will make a difference being held at home?

It should make a difference since I have known the course for four years. I am more comfortable with the course and everyone hates playing on our course. I think I may have an advantage.

As the scoring leader for the Lady Polar bears, do you feel pressure to not let your team down?

Yes, I feel a lot of pressure because if play bad my team can say I can play bad too. However, I am trying to work on not putting too much pressure on myself to play better.

Who is your favorite athlete?

Obviously Tiger Woods is amazing, but I really like Phil Mickelson because he struggled and struggled and struggled and then he finally won. I like Adam Scott too because he is really cute.

Who is your role model for golfing?

My dad and my coach both at home and here; they all bring different aspects to the game that I want to make for myself.

Can you see yourself continuing to play golf after college?

For fun definitely, I always said that if didn’t get a job I would try to move to Florida and see what happened.
