Seven Polar Bears place at the 27th Annual ONU Invitational

ADA — Seven Ohio Northern wrestlers placed at the 27th annual ONU Invitational Saturday at the ONU Sports Center.

David Penny led the Polar Bears with a third place finish at the 125-pound weight class. He finished 6-1 on the day and is now 11-1 on the season.

Luke Miller and Josh Bordner placed fifth at 157 and 165 pounds, respectively.

Miller was 6-2 on the day and improves to 11-4 on the season, while Bordner went 6-2 to improve to 9-4 on the year.

Three more Polar Bears placed seventh.

A.J. Coleman went 4-2 to finish seventh at 157 pounds, Ben Plowman was 3-2 to finish seventh at 174 pounds and Joe Fisher was 4-2 to finish seventh at heavyweight.

Coleman is now 6-4, Plowman is now 6-4 and Fisher is now 5-6 on the season.

Adam Kosch placed eighth at the heavyweight class with a 4-2 mark and is now 6-5 on the year.

Ohio Northern finished ninth of 18 teams in the tournament with 65 points.

Limestone (S.C.) won the tournament witrh 128.5 points, West Liberty State (W.Va.) was secopnd with 125 points and Heidelberg was third with 97 points.

The Polar Bears will return to action Friday with a non-conference dual at home against Mount Saint Joseph at 7 pm at the ONU Sports Center.
