Women’s Tennis suffers setback at No. 24 Kenyon

GAMBIER — The Ohio Northern women’s tennis team fell 9-0 to No. 24 Kenyon Wednesday evening.

The Polar Bears fall to 9-3 on the season while the Lords move to 5-3.

Sophomore Katie Gibbs played well at No. 4 singles. She was able to take junior Natalie Larew to 3 sets before falling 6-1, 3-6, 6-1.

Elizabeth Brichler and Ashley Yontz also played well at No. 2 doubles before being defeated by Paige MacDonald and Alexis Marino 8-5.

Also hanging tough were Gibbs and Jaclyn Hills at No. 3 doubles. They fell 8-4 to Eva Ceja and Larew.

Ohio Northern begins conference play on Wed. March 26 as they host Capital at 3:30 pm.
