Defending NCAA champion Kenyon tops Ohio Northern swimmers |

Nov. 2, 2007 By Tim Glon KENYON The Ohio Northern men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams dropped a pair of dual meets to defending NCAA Champion Kenyon Friday night at the KAC Natatorium. The Ladies (1-2) downed the Lady Polar Bears (2-1) 148-84. Sophomores Terri Lynn Shigle and Jenna Schaffner led ONU by sweeping the diving events. Shigle won the 1-meter competition with 193.50 points and Schaffner won the 3-meter event with a score of 134.22. Schaffner finished second in the 1-meter with a total of 163.65 and sophomore Julie Schweiterman was second in the 3-meter diving with a score of 105.83. Sophomore Katherine Moore was second in the 50 free in 25.85 seconds. Both Ohio Northern teams will return to action Saturday when they host Wooster at 1 pm at the ONU Sports Center. |
