Today was our team's first for many things. It was our first day that was not taken up completely by travel. It was the day of our first tour, our first game and our first dinner with the opposing team, which many of us now consider friends.

We started the day with a tour of Saltzburg. We toured the beautiful Mirabellgarten, which was filled with beautiful flowers and historical statues. We also were able to see the birth place of Mozart, which is what Saltzburg is most famous for.

Our tour guide Phillip, a local Austrian, shared many memorable stories and historical facts while leading us around the gardens, cathedrals, cemontaries, and Saltzburg's most famous sites, including many sites where the Sound of Music was filmed.

After the tour was complete, we had around three hours to shop and eat on our own. Many girls quickly learned how to ask, "How Much?" in German.

After our free time, we traveled back to Germany to play a local women's team named SV Saaldorf. The game was a neat experience. Our referee was unable to speak English, so at times calls were a little confusing. The final score of the game was 2-2. Erin Stapp and Angie Pisut both scored a goal.

Two of our keepers, Barbie and Kara, were asked to play for the other team because their keeper broke her arm in warm up. The opposing team was extremely kind and welcoming. The team's captains exchanged gifts. We gave them an Ohio Northern scraf and they gave us their team flag.

After the game we went to a local restaurant and ate with the German team. We all tried our first taste of wienerschnitzle, which believe it or not, many of the girls loved.

At dinner our German friends sang to us. They taught us some special chants and songs. We left the restaurant with many new friends and great stories to share.
