Emily Davies scores as Women's Soccer team battles to 1-1 draw at Mount Saint Joseph

CINCINNATI — Emily Davies scored in the 26th minute to help the Ohio Northern women's soccer team to a 1-1 double overtime draw at Mount Saint Joesph Friday night.

The Polar Bears move to 3-3-1, while the Lions go to 2-5-1.

Davies tied the match at 1-1 with her goal at the 25:53 mark. She is now second on the squad with three goals in seven contests this season.

MSJ took a 1-0 lead when Ashley Maynard scored with 15:50 gone in the first half.

ONU senior Barbie Kreiger had three saves, two of which came in overtime, to lead the ONU defense. Kelly Bare had eight saves for MSJ.

The two teams had 13 shots apeice, while the Lions had seven corner kicks to five for ONU.

The Polar Bears will return to action Wed. with a 7 pm contest at Wittenberg.
