Women’s Golf ranked No. 19, 21 nationally in GolfStat, GolfWorld/NGCA Division III polls

ADA — The Ohio Northern women’s golf team is ranked No. 19 nationally in the latest GolfStat poll and is ranked No. 21 in the third Golf World/NGCA poll of the 2008-09 season.
The Polar Bears ended the fall portion of their schedule with a solid 32-8-1 record.
Northern received 44 points in the GolfWorld/NGCA poll after being ranked No. 18 with 110 points in the second poll on Sept. 26.
Methodist (N.C.) received all 14 first place votes and 350 points overall to claim the No. 1 spot in the poll.
No. 18 Women's Golf finishes 4th at Wittenberg Fall Classic

SPRINGFIELD — Emily Gedert fired a 4-over par 75 on the second day to lead the No. 18-ranked Ohio Northern women's golf team to a fourth place finish at the Wittenberg Fall Classic Saturday and Sunday at Windy Knoll Golf Course.
The Polar Bears wrap up their fall schedule with a 32-8-1 record.
Gedert finished tied for seventh out of 69 golfers with a 36-hole score of 160 on the par-71, 5800-yard course.
Thresher and Russell lead WGolf to second-place finish at Allegheny (Pa.) Invitational

ALLEGHENY, Pa. - Junior Kaylea Thresher and sophomore Mindy Russell each recorded a score of 84 to finish in a tie for sixth place, leading the Ohio Northern women's golf team to a second-place finish at the Allegheny (Pa.) on Thursday.
Host Allegheny won the 10-team event with a total of 325 strokes, while the Polar Bears had 344 strokes.
