No. 8-ranked Otterbein defeats Women's Golf in dual match

WEST LAFAYETTE — No. 8-ranked Otterbein defeated the Ohio Northern women’s golf team 327-362 in a dual match Sunday afternoon at River Greens Country Club.

Leading the way for the Polar Bears was sophomore Ashley Johnson, who carded a 43-42—85 for a fifth place finish.

OC’s Kelly Butler shot an 80 on the day, leading the way for a 1-4 Otterbein finish.

After a rough front nine, freshman Emily Gedert rebounded to shoot a 49-42—91 as the second Polar Bear finisher.

WEST LAFAYETTE — Emily Gedert fired a career-best 77 to lead the No. 18-ranked Ohio Northern women's golf team to a dominating victory at the Muskingum Invitational Friday afternoon at the River Green Golf Course.

Gedert carded a 4-over par 77 to lead a 1-2-3 finish by ONU golfers on the par-73, 6094-yard course.

The Polar Bears (17-4-1) carded a season-low 333, which ties for the second-lowest score in school history.

Women's Golf team ranked No. 18 in second Golf World/NGCA Poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern women’s golf team moved up one spot and is now ranked No. 18 nationally in the second Golf World/NGCA poll.

Northern received 110 points in the poll after posting a 17-4-1 overall record during the fall season.

Methodist (N.C.) received 14 of the 15 first place votes and 374 points overall to claim the No. 1 spot in the poll.
