By Alyssa Ahlers GENESEO, N.Y. The Ohio Northern women's cross country team took second at the SUNY Geneseo Invitational Saturday. The Polar Bears (28-19) finished with 96 points trailing only host SUNY Geneseo with a perfect team score of 15 points. Leading the way for the Bears was Sophomore Rachel Smith placing 27th out of 162 competitors in a time of 24:02. Rounding out ONU’s top seven was Amy Davis in 28th place in 24:15, Katie Andrzejewski in 31st plce in 24:22 and Amanda Binkley in 34th place in 24:25. Regina Breson finished 36th in 24:30 while Erica Rumschlag and Molly Elderbrock finished in 47th and 48th in 25:06 and 25:07, respectively. The Polar Bears will be back in action this Friday, Oct. 5, at the All-Ohio Championships at Ohio Wesleyan. Women’s Team Results |
