Women's Cross Country 14th at U of Minnesota Invitational

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — The Ohio Northern women’s cross country team placed 14th with 422 points against 36 other competing schools at the Roy Griak Cross Invitational at the University of Minnesota’s Golf Course on Saturday.

Leading the Lady Polar Bears (36-18) was junior Rachel Smith, who finished in 30th place against the 257 runners with a time of 23:48.7 over the 6,000-meter course.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The No. 9-ranked  Ohio Northern men’s cross country team took third and the women’s team finished sixth at the Calvin (Mich) Invite on Saturday.

The Lady Polar Bears (13-5) were led by junior Rachel Smith who finished 20th in a time of 19:08 over the 5,000-meter race.

Freshman Mallory Bloom finished 28th in a time of 19:18, while sophomore Amy Davis finished in 39th in a time of 19:40.

HANOVER, Ind. - The Ohio Northern women's cross country team captured first place at the Hanover (Ind.) Invitational with 48 point Saturday afternoon.

Wisconsin-Stevens Point (60) and Baldwin-Wallace (72) finished second and third.

The Polar Bears were led by junior Rachel Smith who finished in sixth place in a time of 19:56.

Just one place behind was freshman Kelly Casanova who finished in 19:59.
