Tina Mangola named Third Team All-America by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association

ADA - Sophomore Tina Mangola (Cranberry Township, Pa.) was named Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III Third Team All-America in softball for 2008 in voting conducted by the National Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association.
Mangola is a repeat Third Team All-America selection, earning the honor as a freshman in 2007, and is ONU's all-time career home run record leader with 22 as a two-year starter in right field.
She is also a two-time First Team All-Region and two-time First Team All-OAC honoree.
Five Polar Bears named All-Central Region in Softball

ADA - Five Ohio Northern players were named to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-Central Region team in softball for 2008 in voting conducted by the National Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association.
Sophomores Liz Decima (Freedom, Pa./Ambridge), Mandi Fought (Toledo/Whitmer) and Tina Mangola (Cranberry Township, Pa.) were all First Team honorees, while junior Danielle Goubeaux (Coldwater) and sophomore Cortney Cash (Chicago Heights, Ill/Marian Catholic) were named to the Second Team.

A record five Ohio Northern players were named First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference in softball for 2008 in voting conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.
Junior Danielle Goubeaux (Coldwater) and sophomores Cortney Cash (Chicago Heights, Ill/Marian Catholic), Liz Decima (Freedom, Pa./Ambridge), Mandi Fought (Toledo/Whitmer) and Tina Mangola (Cranberry Township, Pa.) were all First Team All-OAC honorees.
