“This was a great team effort. We have been working toward this moment all year. We had a younger team this year than in the past were I have been the young guy. It has been great being able to be a leader and to help them. There is always some pressure because how good our school has been and that makes us expect to be here every year. It’s a little different. Jeremy Deterville was on the team last year and he coached us this year during indoor season. He was very motivational even when we had some rough spots. He was the one who kept us focused.” -- Jon Doble, Wisconsin-La Crosse
With a chance to clinch the men’s team title, the Wisconsin La Crosse 4x400 relay team not only clinched the team title, but also won the event itself. Their win in this year’s NCAA III Track & Field Championship at the ONU Sportscenter is the school’s sixth title in a row.

The team consists of Alex Rooker, Dylan Randolph, Jon Doble and David Kolbe. This is Doble’s third national championship and Koble’s second. The winning time was 3:19.67.

Nebraska Wesleyan placed second (3:20.29), Wisconsin Stevens Point placed third (3:20.31) and Monmouth (Ill.) placed fourth (3:21.22).

Taking fifth was Illinois Wesleyan (3:21.64) while sixth place went to Oneonta SUNY (3:21.66).

Emory placed seventh (3:22.66) while Wisconsin Eau Claire was the final team of All-Americans as they placed eighth (3:22.33).
