Mar. 27, 2008 By Michael Seem WOOSTER The Ohio Northern men’s tennis team saw its win streak snapped at four games after a 5-4 loss at Wooster 5-4 Thursday night. With the loss the Polar Bears fall to 6-4 while Wooster improves to 5-5. The Polar Bears won two of the three doubles matches, but were able to claim only two of the four singles contests. Senior Micah Scott topped Dave Albrechta 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and junior Chris Dohner defeated Jeremy Dominik 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. Northern led 2-1 after doubles play as Scott and senior Bart Schenck defeated Grant D’Augustine and Pat Grab 8-3 at the No. 1 spot and Dohner and junior Ryan Paul topped Albrechta and Ethan Arenstein 8-5 at No. 2 doubles. The Polar Bears return to action this weekend at the Wabash (Ind.) Tournament Saturday and Sunday and will return to OAC action Wednesday at Wilmington at 3:30 p.m. |
