Scott, Schenck, Paul win two each as Polar Bears top Walsh 6-3

CANTON — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team swept the doubles matches and won the top three singles spots to defeat NAIA foe Walsh 6-3 Friday afternoon.

The Polar Bears improve to 3-3, while the cavaliers fall to 2-4.

Micah Scott and Bart Schenck won three times to lead ONU.

Scott won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, Schenck won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 singles and the duo combines to win 8-2 at No. 1 doubles.

Ryan Paul won 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 at No. 3 singles and combined with Chris Dohner to win 9-7 at No. 2 doubles.

The No. 3 doubles team of Thomas Major and Todd Anderson posted an 8-5 victory to round out the Polar Bear victors.

The Polar Bears will return to action Monday at home against John Carroll at 3:30 pm in the OAC opener for both teams.
