Bart Schenck gets wins 98, 99 as Polar Bears top Tiffin 6-3

ADA — Senior Bart Schenck earned his 98th and 99th career victories as the Ohio Northern men’s tennis team won its fifth match in a row beating Tiffin 6-3 Thursday afternoon.

With the victory, Ohio Northern improves to 11-4, while Tiffin falls to 2-10.

Schenck earned his 98th career victory as he and partner senior Micah Scott won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles. Schenk later earned his 99th win at No. 2 singles, winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.

Senior Thomas Major and freshman Jeff Carter won at No. 3 doubles 8-4 to give the Polar Bears an early 2-1 lead.

Scott extended the lead to 3-1 winning at No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-1 for his team-leading 13th win in singles competition.

Junior Todd Anderson won at No. 4 doubles 6-0, 6-2 and senior Todd Anderson secured the match for ONU winning at No. 5 singles 6-2, 6-1.

The Polar Bears will return to action at Ohio Athletic Conference foe Otterbein on Saturday at 1 pm.
