Men's Swimming makes first-ever appearance in College Swimming.com poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team team is making its first appearance in the College Swimming.com/College Swimming Coaches Association of America Top 25 Poll.
The Polar Bears (5-4 overall, 2-0 Ohio Athletic Conference) received three points in voting conducted by 25 coaches from around the country.
Northern is making its first appearance in the poll and received the 44th most votes in the nation.
The College Swimming.com/CSCAA poll reflects dual meet strength.
Men's Swimming & Diving tops Division I for Rider (N.J.) at Deerfield Relay Meet

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — The Ohio Northern men's swimming anddiving team defeated NCAA Division I foe Rider (N.J.)in a quad meet at the Deerfield Winter College Relay Meet Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears (5-4) defeated Rider 164-110 and fell to Division I opponent Davidson (N.C.) 148-138 and to Bates (Mass.) 166-150.
Ohio Northern sophomore Michael Schultz named OAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Michael Schultz (New Berlin, Wis./Martin Luther) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week for the week of Dec. 1-7.
Schultz set five school records and surpassed the NCAA “B” cut in three events at the Wooster Invitational Thursday-Saturday.
He broke his own records in winning efforts in the 200 free (1:41.55), the 500 free (4:32.10) and the 1650 free (15:59.08).
