Our first full day in Munich began with breakfast at the Hotel Vitalis. Breakfast consisted of rolls, fruit, eggs, bologna, and cereal. The guys’ favorite part was the chocolate corn flakes. After breakfast we were excited to be on our way to take a tour of Allianz Arena home of
Bayern Munich and 1860 Munich.

The tour took us through the stadium starting with a video of the construction of the arena built for the 2006 World Cup. Our first stop on the tour was up 86 steps to the top of the arena where we walked through the breezeway into the arena seating 66,000 fans. We also saw the sponsorship lounge, locker rooms, and the fan shop.

After we all exited the fan shop with bags full of spirit wear, we traveled to Munich to take a biking tour of the city. We stopped at the beer garden in the Munich English Gardens to enjoy giant pretzels. After the bike tour we had free time to explore the city and shop. We enjoyed dinner at the Hofbrauhaus eating potato salad, chicken, and apple strudel.

Tomorrow we will travel to the Dachau Concentration Camp and also back into Munich before returning on an evening flight to London.
