ALLIANCE — The Ohio Northern men’s golf team finished in eighth place at the two-day Mount Union Invitational Sunday and Monday.

First round play on Sunday was at the par-71, 6694-yard Tannenhauf Golf Course, while the final round on Monday was at the par-72, 6411-yard Alliance Country Club.

The Polar Bears (9-35) shot a 623 for the tournament. John Carroll won the tournament with a 569, Mount Union was second with a 588 and Otterbein was third with a 596.

TIFFIN — Ben Kretz shot a 74-81—155 to lead the Ohio Northern men’s golf team at the 36-hole Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Invitational Monday at the Mohawk Golf and Country Club.

The Polar Bears (8-28) finished with a 649. John Carroll won the team title with a 596, Otterbein was second with a 602 and Tiffin was third with a 617.

All 36 holes were played on Monday.

ANGOLA, Ind. — Tom Repicky and Joel Metzker each turned in top-five performances to lead the Ohio Northern men’s golf team to a second-place finish Sunday at the Defiance Invitational.

The Polar Bears are now 6-21 on the year after finishing the Par-71, 6,130 yard course with 314 strokes.

Repicky shot 37-37—74 and Metzker shot 41-37—78 to finish in third place and fifth place, respectively.
