Polar Bears fifth at OAC Fall Invitational

CHESTERLAND — The Ohio Northern men’s golf team finished fifth at the OAC Fall Invitational Saturday afternoon at the Fowlers Mill Golf Course.

The Polar Bears carded a 491 for the 27-hole event.

Junior Ben Kretz led ONU with a 38-80—118 to finish in a tie for 11th. Fellow junior Andrew Rahrig finished a shot behind Kretz with a 37-82—119 and a t16 finish.

Seniors Dan Brodnik and Chase Cummings finished in a tie for 27th with a 127 total. Brodnik posted a 39-88—127 and Cummings had a 38-89—127.

Rounding out the Polar Bear top five was freshman Phil Makowski with a 43-90—133.

Mount Union’s Lucas Murray took medalist honors with a 1-over par total of 108. John Carroll took the team title with a 452. Otterbein finished second with a 456 followed by Mount Union in third at 474 and Baldwin-Wallace in fourth at 478.

The Polar Bears will be back in action this Tuesday at the Ohio Wesleyan Fall Intercollegiate.
