No. 14 Men's Cross Country takes third at Earlham (Ind.) Invitational

RICHMOND, Ind. — The No. 14-ranked Ohio Northern men’s cross country team took third at the 8,000-meter course at Earlham College.

The Polar Bears (51-8) rested their top 7 runners this week and still finished third behind Rose-Hulman Institute and Otterbein. Rose-Hulman finished in the top spot with 32 points, Otterbein finished right behind with 35, and Ohio Northern took third with 82.

ADA — The Ohio Northern men’s cross country team (46-6) fell one spot to No. 14 nationally in the third weekly United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll released Wednesday.

The Polar Bears were ranked No. 13 in the first and second polls and were No. 9 in the USTFCCCA preseason poll.

Northern received 172 points in this week’s poll, 19 less than the 191 it received in last week’s poll, and is one of two Ohio Athletic Conference schools to appear in the poll.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The No. 13-ranked Ohio Northern men’s cross country team took third place at the 8,000-meter courseon the Les Bolstad Golf Course, of Minnesota.

The Polar Bear men (46-6) finished with 147 points behind top-20 finishes from senior Thomas Adam and junior Alan Bowsher.

Adam finished the course in 17th in a time of 26:14, while Bowhser finished 19th in 26:20.
