No. 12 Men's Cross Country finishes third at All-Ohio Championships

DELEWARE — The No. 12-ranked Ohio Northern men’s cross country took third at the 8,000-meter course on the Deleware Golf Club course.

The Polar Bears (68-10) were lead by seniors Paul Lewis and Jimmy O’Brien. Lewis took ninth in a time of 26:47.7 and O’Brien came in 12th in a time of 26:54.0.

Junior Alan Bowsher finished 17th in a time of 27:02.6.

Men’s Cross Country team moves up to No. 12 in fourth weekly USTFCCCA poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern men’s cross country team (51-8) moved up two spots to No. 12 in the fourth weekly United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll released Wednesday.

The Polar Bears were ranked No. 14 in the third poll, No. 13 in the first and second polls and were No. 9 in the USTFCCCA preseason poll.

Northern received 184 points in this week’s poll, which tied with Allegheny for No. 12, and is one of two Ohio Athletic Conference schools to appear in the poll.

RICHMOND, Ind. — The No. 14-ranked Ohio Northern men’s cross country team took third at the 8,000-meter course at Earlham College.

The Polar Bears (51-8) rested their top 7 runners this week and still finished third behind Rose-Hulman Institute and Otterbein. Rose-Hulman finished in the top spot with 32 points, Otterbein finished right behind with 35, and Ohio Northern took third with 82.
