Stacey Hairston is in his 12th season as an assistant coach for Ohio Northern.
He will serve as the defensive backs coach, co-defensive co-ordinator and lecturer in the human performance and sports science department. He also serves as the head women's golf coach.
Stacey spent the 2003 season as interim head coach and defensive coordinator for the Polar Bears.
Stacey has represented Ohio Northern University in one form or another for 19 years.
First, as a four-year starter at cornerback and wide receiver where he earned 1st Team All-Conference honors his senior at wide receiver.
He next represented his alma mater as a starting defensive back for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders of the Canadian Football League.
Stacey started every game for the Rough Riders for three years, earning a spot on the CFL Western All-Star team.
After his third season, Stacey left for the NFL and found a home with the Cleveland Browns.
He received special teams honors on four separate occasions, while once earning defensive player of the game honors.
In 1994, Stacey was an integral part of the NFLs top-ranked defense.
Staceys professional career was cut short by injury.
In 2000, Stacey was inducted into the Ohio Northern Athletic Hall of Fame.
Stacey has not severed his ties with the NFL after his retirement.
He is still active with the Central Ohio NFL Alumni Association and is the former Vice President of the NFL Players Association.
Some of the other activities that Stacey donated his time to are the Homeless foundation of Columbus, the Childrens Hospital, the Stephanie Speilman Fund for Breast Cancer Research and the United Negro Foundation.
Since Stacey made the jump to the pro ranks, other Northern players have followed his lead and went on to excel at the professional level.
He currently resides in Lima with his wife, Johanne and their son, Jonathan Stacey (3) and infant twins Jordyn and Jayden.

Bob Rohan is in his fifth season as an associate head coach at Ohio Northern.
Rohan will also be a lecturer in ONU’s human performance and sport science department and will be the director of intramurals at Ohio Northern.
He coaches the quarterbacks.
Rohan, who has 17 years of coaching experience, joins the Polar Bears after a three-year stint as an assistant coach at Ashland, where he coached quarterbacks and specialists.
He also had assistant coaching stints at Clarion (Pa.) from 1997-99, Frostburg State (Md.) from 1993-96, Catholic (D.C.) in 1992, Maryland in 1991 and at Bishop McNamara H.S. from 1987-90.
Most of his coaching experience has been on offense with quarterbacks, specialists and as a coordinator, but has coached on both side of the ball.
He received his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Maryland in 1992 and his master’s degree from Frostburg State in health and physical education in 1996.
Rohan played safety at Salisbury State (Md.) in 1985 and helped his squad to the regional finals that year.
As a freshman, he played quarterback for Shepherd (W.Va.) in 1983.
Rohan and his wife, Amy, have six children; Sarah, 13, Daniel, 11, Greg, 8, Matthew, 7, and twins Anna and Rachel, who are 3-years old.
