ADA — The Ohio Northern football team received votes in the final D3Football.com poll for 2007.

The Polar Bears (7-3 overall, 6-3 Ohio Athletic Conference) received 11 votes from the 25-voter panel, which is the 33rd-most of all teams receiving votes.

ONU was ranked No. 16 in the seventh weekly poll, was No. 11 in the sixth poll, was No. 9 in the fifth poll, was No. 11 in the fourth poll, was No. 12 in the second and third polls, was No. 14 in the first weekly poll and was No. 17 in the preseason poll.

Wisconsin-Whitewater is the unanimous choice as the No. 1 team after upsetting Mount Union 31-21 in the 2007 Stagg Bowl on Dec. 15.

Mount Union was number two with 594 points and Mary Hardin-Baylor (Tex.) was third with 579 points.

Ohio Northern wrapped up its 2007 season with a pair of victories over Heidelberg (35-10) and Wilmington (39-31) .

Northern's third place OAC finish clinched its 13th consecutive upper division finish in the 10-team league.
