WHEATON, Ill. — Ohio Northern had three wrestlers place in the two-day, double-elimination Pete Wilson Wheaton Invitational this weekend.

Junior and No. 7-ranked David Penny finished fourth at 125 pounds going 3-2 this weekend with a major decision and earning his 24th victory of the season.

Freshman Luke Miller went on a tear for the Polar Bears finishing fourth at 157 pounds. Miller went 4-2 at the invitational earning one major decision and his team-leading 29th win.

Junior AJ Coleman was the final Northern wrestler to place, going 2-2 on the weekend with one major decision. Coleman finished 8th and improved his record to 9-4 at 165 pounds.

Ohio Northern placed 15th of 27 teams at the invitational with 39 points.

University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse (Wis.) won the Wheaton Invitational with 143 points. University of Wisconsin-Parkside (Wis.) finished in second with 105 points.

Northern will return to Ohio Athletic Conference competition at John Carroll on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
