Penny, Plowman lead Polar Bears in OAC dual at No. 6 Heidelberg

TIFFIN — Ben Plowman and Jeff Penny earned victories for the Ohio Northern Wrestling team and remained unbeaten in Ohio Athletic Conference competition as Northern took on OAC rival and No. 6-ranked Heidelberg Friday night.

Plowman and Penny both improve to a perfect 3-0 record in the OAC.

Despite the efforts of Plowman and Penny Heidelberg won the dual 28-6.

With the loss, Northern falls to 4-7 overall, 2-1 in the OAC, Heidelberg improves to 8-1 overall, 3-0 in the OAC.

Penny earned his sixth win of the year with a 7-3 decision over Tony Lawler at 133 pounds.

Heidelberg would go on to win four straight matches before No. 7-ranked Plowman continued his hot streak with an 8-1 decision over Matt Findley in a 174-pound match to bring his season record to 10-6.

The Polar Bears will return to action Tuesday against Baldwin-Wallace at the ONU Sports Center at 7:30 p.m.
