SPRINGFIELD — Emily Gedert fired a 4-over par 75 on the second day to lead the No. 23-ranked Ohio Northern women's golf team to a fourth place finish at the Wittenberg Fall Classic Saturday and Sunday at Windy Knoll Golf Course.

The Polar Bears wrap up their fall schedule with a 32-8-1 record.

Gedert finished tied for seventh out of 69 golfers with a 36-hole score of 160 on the par-71, 5800-yard course.

TIFFIN — Ohio Northern used dominating performances on both sides of the ball to post a 41-0 Ohio Athletic Conference football victory on  a perfect Saturday afternoon at Frost-Kalnow Stadium.

The Polar Bears improve to 1-4 overall and are 1-3 in OAC play, while the Student Princes fall to 1-4, 0-4.

The game can be seen tape-delayed on SportsTime Ohio Saturday night at 8 pm and again Sunday morning at 5 am.

ADA - Junior Angie Pisut took a pass behind the defense from fellow junior Jamie Eiben and knocked a slow roller by the Mount Union goalie who was at the top of the box in the 87th minute to lead the Ohio Northern women's soccer team to a 3-2 victory Saturday afternoon at the ONU Soccer Field.

The Polar Bears improve to 8-4-1 and 2-1-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while MUC is now 4-7-1, 1-2-0.

ADA - Sophomore Abby Schaller had a match-high 12 kills to lead the No. 10-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team to a 25-19, 25-14, 25-17 sweep over Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Marietta Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears improve to 18-4, 4-0 OAC, while the Pioneers drop to 13-10, 1-3.

Schaller had a .407 hitting percentage (12-1-27) and contributed an ace as well.
