BABSON PARK, Fla. — The Ohio Northern men’s tennis team wrapped up its spring break trip with an 8-1 loss to No. 10-ranked Webber International (Fla.) Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday, the Polar Bears (2-2) defeated NCAA Division I for Mount Saint Mary’s (Md.) 6-1 to make it a split of two outstanding teams on the trip.

The Warriors, who are an NAIA school, improve to 2-3 on the year.

Freshman Kyle Barnaba has the Polar Bear victory on the day, defeating Manuel Celleri 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.

“We had a successful trip,” ONU head coach Glenn Scheutzow said. “We played two outstanding teams and had some success. I’m disappointed that we did not compete better today, though. I promise that this will be the last time we play without focus this year.”

The Polar Bears will return to action at NCAA Division I foe Dayton on March 12.
