    ADA — Freshman Nate Bascom led the way for the Ohio Northern men’s soccer team with two goals as it opened Ohio Athletic Conference play Saturday by defeating Muskingum 3-1 at ONU Soccer Field.

    ONU moves to 10-2 overall and 1-0 in the OAC on the year, while the Muskies fall to 3-7 overall and 0-1 in the OAC.

    ADA — Muskingum turned three ONU fumbles in the first seven minutes into a quick 21-0 lead and held on for a 35-21 Ohio Athletic Conference football victory over Ohio Northern Saturday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

    The Polar Bears fall to 0-4 overall and are 0-3 in OAC play, while the Muskies improve to 2-2, 1-2.

    NEW CONCORD — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team scored three goals in the first 7:15 and went on to a 5-0 Ohio Athletic Conference victory Friday afternoon in the league opener for both squads.

    The Polar Bears improve to 7-3-1 (1-0 OAC), while the Muskies fall to (5-4-1, 0-1 OAC).

    Erin Stapp, Angie Pisut and Jennifer Klag each scored goals in the first 7:15 of the contest to give ONU a quick 3-0 advantage.

    UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS - The No. 13-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team opened up Ohio Athletic Conference play with a convincing three-set sweep over John Carroll 25-18, 25-11, 26-24 Friday evening at the DeCarlo Center.

    Northern improves to 15-4 overall and 1-0 in the OAC, while John Carroll is now 12-7, 0-1.
