    BEREA  - Kaitlin Sanders scored her first goal of the season in the 27th minute and the Ohio Northern defense held up to lead ONU past Baldwin-Wallace 1-0 Wednesday night at George Finnie Stadium.

    The Polar Bears improve to 9-4-1 overall and are 3-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Yellow Jackets fall to  5-5-3, 2-2.

    ADA — Senior All-American setter Katie Weininger (Sycamore/Mohawk) has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 6-12.

    This marks the first time that Weininger has been honored with this award and the seventh time for an Ohio Northern player.

    Weininger led the Polar Bears to a perfect 3-0 record against Ohio Athletic Conference opponents with victories over Heidelberg, Mount Union and Marietta.

    ADA — The Ohio Northern Men’s Soccer team defeated twentieth-ranked Baldwin-Wallace 4-0 Tuesday afternoon at the ONU Soccer Field.

    The Polar Bears move to 12-3 overall and 3-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference while the Yellow Jackets fall to 11-3 overall and 1-3 in the OAC.

    WESTERVILLE - The No. 10-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team hit an outstanding season-high .443 while holding host Otterbein to a -.072 hitting percentage in a 25-10, 25-6, 25-10 victory to remain undefeated in the Ohio Athletic Conference Tuesday night at the Rike Center.

    The Polar Bears are now 19-4 overall and 5-0 in the OAC while the Cardinals are now 8-17, 2-3.
